Author's POV
Mumbai's Marine Drive transformed under the monsoon assault, Queen's Necklace lights blurring into a shimmering arc against ink-black skies, where Arabian Sea waves hurled themselves at the promenade like vengeful lovers denied. Rain lashed in silver sheets, drenching the curved Art Deco railing and turning the asphalt into mirrored chaos-headlights from swerving Audis and dripping rickshaws fracturing into neon rainbows amid the roar.Crowds braved the fury: lovers huddling under shared umbrellas, their whispers lost to crashing surf; bhutta vendors fanning coals under plastic sheets, corn steam curling defiantly; distant thunder rumbling like Mumbai's underbelly awakening, skyscrapers at Nariman Point piercing clouds like empire spears. Salt air mingled with wet earth and sizzling street.
